Eye

Dust may cause irritation, redness and pain.

Skin

Skin absoprtion not likely. May cause s;ight transient irritation, redness and pain.

Inhaled

May cause respiratory tract irritation, coughing and sore throat.

2.2 Health Effects - Chronic

Not a carcinogen. Inhalation of product may aggravate existing chronnc respiratory problems such as asthma, emphysema or bronchitis. Skin contact may aggravate existing skin disease or cause dermatitis.

2.3 First Aid

Swallowed

If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-3 glasses of water to drink and induce vomiting by touching back of throat with finger. Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek immediate medical attention. Do not leave victim unattended. Vomiting may occur spontaneously. To prevent aspiration of swallowed product, lay victim on side with head lower than waist. If vomiting occurs and the victim is conscious, give water to further dilute the chemical.

Eye

Hold eyelids open and flush with a steady, gentle stream of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation develops or if visual changes occur.

Skin

In case of contact, immediately wash with plenty of soap and water ofr at least 5 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation develops or persists. Remove contimated clothing and shoes and clean before reuse.

Inhaled

If respiratory irritation or distress occurs, remove victim to fresh iar. Seek medical attention if respitatory irritation or distress continues.

First Aid Facilities

Ensure an eye bath and safety shower are available and ready for use.

2.5 Advice to Doctor

All treatments should be based on observed signs and symptoms of distress in the patient. Consoderation should be given to the possibility that overexposure to materials other than this product may have occurred. No specific antidote available.

3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

3.1 Exposure Standards

TWA (ACGIH) : 10 mg/m3. TWA (OSHA) : 10 mg/m3.

3.2 Engineering Controls

Where engineering controls are indicated by use conditions or a potential for excessive exposure exists, the following traditional expsoure control techniques may be used to effectively minimise employee exposures: local exhaust ventilation at the point of generation.

3.3 Personal Protection

When respirators are required, select an NIOSH/MSHA approved equipment based on actual or potential airbourne concentrations and in accordance with the appropriate regulatory standards and/or industrial recommendations. Under normal conditions, in the absence of other airbourne contaminants, the following devices should provide protection from the material up to the conditions specified by the appropriate OSHA, WHMIS, or ANSI standard(s): Air purifying (half mask/full mask) respirator with cartidges/canister approved for use against dusts, mists and fumes. Use chemical safety glasses with side shields or splash proof goggles. Use gloves and suitable long sleeved clothing. Do not eat, drink, smoke or use cosmetics whilst handling product. Wash hands and face before eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet.

3.4 Flammability

Product will burn when exposed to heat. May form explosive mixture when dust mixed with air. Product is combustible.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

4.1 Storage / Transport

Provide electrical grounding, or inert atmosphere when material used in presence of flammable materials to prevent ignition. Store in tightly closed containers, in a dry, well ventilated area. Store away from strong acids and strong oxidising agents.

4.3 Spills and Disposal

Spills

Clean up personnel should wear suitable protective clothing. Do not allow spilled material to enter sewers or waterways. Remove all sources of ignition.

SMALL SPILL - shovel up and place in a labelled, sealable container for subsequent safe disposal. Dampen spill with water prior to sweeping if necessary Scrub contaminated surfaces with detergent solution. Retain washings as contaminated waste. Put leaking containers in a labelled drum or overdrum. LARGE SPILL - transfer to a labelled, sealable container for product recovery or safe disposal. Treat residues as for small spillage. DO NOT flush away residues with water. Retain as contaminated waste.

Disposal

Recover or recycle if possible. Dispose of in accordance with all Local, State and Federal regulations at an approved waste disposal facility.

4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD

Fire / Explosion

Product will burn under fire conditions. Dust may form explosive mixture with air. Products of decomposition include oxides of carbon.

Extinguishing Media

Firefighters should wear full protective cltohing including self contained breathing apparatus. Use carbon dioxide, water spray, dry chemical or foam as extinguishing media.
